Daniel J. Sliwa - Multimedia Designer and Content Strategist

"Creating New Worlds..Inside Your Own" was a cheesy phrase tucked in the closing words, given by Carol, during a Media Arts award ceremony for myself and three other students. Amongst the hundreds of students were were chosen and awarded for our innovative thinking in the fields of Media and Technology. My successes being the founding and 4-year member of the largest Student Organization of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Movie Camera Militia, as well as my various work for both the university and community. Since then, I've adapted the phrase as I feel it truly pertains to my beliefs in terms of creation. I strive to capture the truest moments with the realist of people and those beliefs have guided me on a variety of adventures across the Midwest and West Coast.

Currently living in Los Angeles, California and balancing contract/part-time work with freelance multimedia design and marketing strategy. My abilities are in the realms of: photography, videography, graphic design as well as most forms of media work. Having such a knowledge, combined with my marketing background has been key to formulating such a high volume of successful campaigns for my variety of clients. Knowing both the media and marketing side of things allows me to fully formulate, budget and execute campaigns efficiently.

In my 3 short years in Los Angeles I've been able to work with numerous entertainment, media, event and fashion companies, most notably: LA Weekly, LA Times, UFC, American Film Institute, Legacy Entertainment, Hautelook, Pan Am Experience, Geffen Playhouse, etc. and shot the first ever female Knighting in Los Angeles when I covered (I'm not kidding) Pamela Anderson's Knighting Ceremony at the Bel Air Hotel. All-in-all companies love me because I'm a chameleon of sorts- able to slip in and around any event space, adjust my eye to help shoot the latest fashion line, devise a 3 month tech campaign in less than 72 hours, and so on and so forth. Have recently just celebrated shooting 300+ nightlife events.

No matter the media needs at hand I'm always up for the challenge and honored when I see another happy client's smile.

Currently, open to taking photography, graphic design and marketing requests from various sources. I always offer some of the most profound insight, for the best available price, and price bend for my client's based on their needs and means. Also, actively working with my most amount of active clients at the moment, while still finding time to plan a Charity Dance Festival this November and (hopefully) finally finish up writing two plays and setting out to produce them. Looking forward to my upcoming features in LA Weekly, LA Times and San Diego Reader.

Always on the run, but never one to dismiss another. If you're looking to develop a new project, feel free to reach out.

Best,
Daniel
